Our Process
Getting dental implants is a collaboration between Dr. Lucero and her oral surgeon who places the implants. At your initial consultation, you will meet with Dr. Lucero and she will explain the process in detail and answer any questions at that time.
Dental implants are tooth root replacements. The oral surgeon will place the dental implants during a procedure while you are sedated for comfort.
Over the next 6 weeks, implants will heal, providing a stable base for your restorations. You will be able to wear a temporary denture or crown during this time. Once the implants are sufficiently stable, Dr. Lucero will restore your tooth or teeth.
After your implants heal, Dr. Lucero will take a digital scan and design your permanent restorations. She meticulously customizes them to blend with any remaining teeth, looking natural, and harmonize with your facial structure. When ready, you return to our office to have your temporary restoration removed.

Stick to a soft diet as your gums heal and your implants heal. After a few weeks, you can resume a normal diet and routine.. Your oral surgeon will provide detailed aftercare instructions.

The completed restoration will look just like your natural teeth. Dr. Lucero’s restorations have the natural translucency and shading of tooth enamel. She uses a local lab to make your crown which allows you to go to the lab for a custom shading. Your smile will look naturally beautiful.
